Campin'

We have maxed out our camping selves for the rest of the year!  A few weeks ago, I went off to Girls Camp and Kevin did Twilight Camp for all of the young scouts. Despite not really being a camper, I was pretty proud of myself for doing so well in the wilderness in the Texas summer heat. I loved spending time with our girls and YW leaders and I had an even greater appreciation for my air conditioning and bed upon my arrival home. The girls were so fun to be around. I was uplifted by their sweet spirits all week. Kevin loved helping the scouts do archery all week. Some were as young as 6 and were darling as ever. We live in a great place and loved spending the week with the young people around us!

Morning of the hike!

This is what I was up against!!! Yes, that's real!

Kevin's group at Twilight Camp for the week. (Special shoutout to Whitni & Shannon for putting the whole week together!)

49 Years Young

Well we made it to 24 & 25! We spent our birthdays at Girls Camp, Twilight Camp, and work, so we did our traditional joint birthday celebration on the weekend at Vic & Anthony's. Seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. Yum! Kevin, being the amazing husband that he is had the cutest banner, gifts, cards, and homemade cake (that he made at midnight the night before because he was at Twilight Camp), waiting for me when I got back from camp. Between that and the rush of the ac, they're might've been some tears. Thank you to all of our sweet friends and family for all the sweet cards, flowers, and gifts!

Birthday treat to have Tygh in town!

Our traditional birthday burgers a few days late.

Vic & Anthony's jumbo lump crab cake. Mmmmmmm

Slight miscommunication in the kitchen with what we were celebrating. Haha Still delicious creme brûlée!

I just love celebrating our birthdays together! I love this guy so much and couldn't have asked for a better 49th birthday weekend celebration. Here's to being 24 & 25 years young (even though I'm feeling pretty old)!

Memorial Day Weekend Reunion

We've been looking forward to Memorial Day weekend all spring! We met up with our friends in Seattle for a weekend of non-stop fun. I flew in with Matt & Taryn from Utah, and Kevin met us from Houston. Joel and Emily were the BEST hosts and took us everywhere and anywhere around town. They planned out this fabulous trip and it was absolutely perfect. Seriously, I'm in love with Seattle. We explored the city all day Friday, seeing all of the emerald city's musts, a Mariners/Astros game on the most gorgeous night, and finally the ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island. We spent Saturday and Sunday on the lake paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, seal watching, etc. and relaxing by the fire. So many good laughs with this group! It was fun to be reunited for a few days and we are excited for all that's to come in the next few months for everyone. Baby girl Stephens is showing up in a few weeks, and the Shirleys will take NYC and Columbia Med School at the end of the summer. Thanks Stephens and Shirleys for the perfect couples retreat! We miss you!

Emily's backyard is a dream! Fishing, waterfalls, treehouse apartments... What more could you want? We're moving in Coomers! ;)

Racing cars...kind of.

Seattle's finest!

We've been hearing about the Berliner for a long time now and it did not disappoint! Yum!

Pike Place mini doughnuts!

Theo's chocolate

Mariners/Astros Game-

Made it on the jumbotron!... It helps to have Star Wars fanatics behind you.

In love with this city!
