First Visitors

This past weekend, Kevin's parents came to visit us. We have been looking forward to this for a while and were so happy to spend time with them. We got to show them around our new city and even do some new things we haven't done yet. We loved having you, Bill and Gale! Come again soon!

If you've ever flown into George Bush, you know you're a nobody until you get a sign with your name on it as you come down into baggage claim... so we welcomed Bill and Gale with their very own sign... And chips, apparently :)

NASA for the day. So incredible!

Dinner on the Kemah boardwalk.

Remote control airplane park. This may be a new weekend tradition. The tiniest little jets in the sky!

Cougars in Town

We have anticipated the BYU/University of Houston game since the day we knew we were moving to Houston. We've missed our cougars and they did not disappoint. What a game! It was fun to have so many fellow BYU fans at the game, and we are proud of our team for pulling through. Between the fireside the night before, and the tailgate before the game, it felt like we could've been back in Cougartown. There were so many BYU fans, that we moved from our seats with the fans, to a higher level so that we could see better. We enjoyed the company of the MacArthurs (missing Taryn), and Matt who was in town for a med school interview, and then got to see so many other friends from BYU that now live all over TX. BYU football brings everyone together. Go Cougars!
Tailgate!
My cute friend Katie from Westside, and her adorable little girl.

Reunited and so happy!
Aubrey was in town for the game! So fun to catch up!
We were missing Taryn!
Freshman reunion! We're happy Tommy is now a Houstonian too!
Reliant Stadium is incredible!

San Antonio Getaway

We've been wanting to go to San Antonio for a while now, but have been so busy. We finally got to go and it was worth the wait. We stayed on the Riverwalk and loved every second of our time there. Streets and streets of Tex Mex and other delicious food, with a river running right through. We found Kevin's relative, Green Jameson who fought in the Alamo, and enjoyed the rest of the town's history. We took a riverboat tour, and enjoyed the Chalk the Block festival. Kevin left our mark too. :) We got to see my high school friend Susan and Parks too which made the trip that much better! We are looking forward to going back as soon as they get those lights up in December!

Labor Day in Florida

Over Labor Day weekend, we rode tripped over to Pensacola to visit Matt, Rachel, and Emily. It was so much fun to be back on the Gulf Coast with the beautiful water and white sand beaches. We loved staying at their new house and playing with Emily. We ate the best food (delicious cheesy grits and shrimp being my fave), swam, went to the Naval Air Museum, and enjoyed being together! Thanks for such a great weekend Matt and Rachel! You guys are the best hosts! Looking forward to another visit soon!

Utah Trip

My parents took a trip to Italy a few weeks ago, so I flew out to spend some time with my cute grandma while they were away. I was sad I didn't get to spend too much time with my parents, but happy to spend time with my grandma and Kelly, and see so many friends too! I even got to go to one of my favorite places, Westside Elementary. I'm sad we didn't get a picture of all of us, but I enjoyed being back with all my old friends so much. It made me sad to not be a teacher there this year, and I seriously cried seeing my old students. And then there's the Petersons who make all things more fun with a party. As always, it's sad for me to say goodbye, but I was anxious to get back to my favorite guy after so long! {and some Houston warmth! See ya later snow!}

Spending some time with my mom before Italy!

They're off to Italy!

Love these two. I think Noah's is hiring out here!? ;) We would be so happy to have the Martineaus close again!

Great to spend time with Natalie! Back to our old traditions of shopping and pedicures.

We miss living so close to Lauren and Mike. Fun to be together!

Kelly hooked me up with the benefits of dining plus, and we enjoyed every moment of that Sunday dinner at the cannon. (Not pictured: Taryn and Shannon on our sister date)

Dinner with Nat and Abs! :)

This family is too sweet to me! So fun to be back at Westside!

Spending some time at Gardner Village with my mom and all of the cute Hallowen decor!
