Houston Residents

So we made it to Texas! It has been a crazy few weeks getting here, but we're getting settled and are happy to be here. We flew back into Salt Lake from Hawaii, loaded up our truck with the help of Kevin's wonderful cousins, and Bill and Kevin took off the next morning for the road trip to our new home. The guys had a great road trip out and Kevin experienced the best meal of his life at 3 Forks in Dallas. {I am so jealous!} I got to spend a few extra days with my family and had a lot of fun with my mom and Kelly shopping and enjoying the Parade of Homes {and I even got to see one of my very best friends, Ari!}. I met the guys in Houston on Wednesday and we moved right into our apartment! It was fun to have Bill here for a day, and we look forward to having him AND Gale back here in a few months! :) Thanks for all your help!

We spent our first few days buying new couches and a new car, so we have finally had time to explore this fun city we now call home. We've located all the good shopping and some yummy restaurants in the city, found the gulf that we are excited to be close to, and are enjoying all the fun things to do during this very warm summer!

Kevin is living our new motto, "time to get real" {haha} and started work a few weeks ago. He's loving the company and is getting adjusted to his busy working life. We're so grateful for all the help that has been given to us by our families and friends as we've made this big move, and we're looking forward to having you all out here!

Kevin got to go on a tour of some of NOV's sites where they assemble the rigs... Loving his hard hat!

  2. We loved Whataburger when we spent the summer in Louisiana! We also went to that aquarium when we spent the day in Houston! Hope you enjoy Texas! P.S. You are still McKinley's favorite teacher (she still has the picture of the two of you on her desk.)
