Pampa at a glance...

We are officially residents of Pampa, TX. And by residents, I mean residents of the Hampton Inn. Kevin has had an assignment in this tiny town since the start of the year, so we enjoy the gym and Pampa's "fine dining" every. single. day. We live about an hour outside of Amarillo {10 hours north of Houston} and we have been enjoying this adventure. The people are the nicest you will ever meet. Bob and I are pretty close at the post office and I'm hoping to be this 90-yr-old sweetheart, Mary's BFF at church. Seriously, so nice. Unfortunately, it looks like our small town experience will be coming to an end early. Kevin's fourth rotation would like him to start back in Houston ASAP, so he's wrapping up here and we will back to our beloved home in a few weeks! I knew I loved Houston, but the saying is true... Absence makes the heart grow fonder. We're coming for you Houston!

Our residence...
Around town-
Some of our favorite dining experiences.
This is our Wednesday night tradition.
Best fresh tacos! Mejia Mondays!
Being in North Texas, we are experiencing all sorts of freezing weather we are not used to.
We even got a snow day! We meaning Pampa ISD. Haha Sorry, Kevin.
Tumbleweeds galore!
We attended the Tri-State Chili Competition in Amarillo.
We even made it into the Amarillo magazine as locals! Haha
I've been subbing a lot in the high school, most recently doing two weeks in Physics. Thanks to Kevin for checking my work before I taught! ;)
Despite the cold and the size of the town,  Pampa has been very good to us. We will definitely miss the sweet Panhandle people who have been so kind to us.

Grand Cayman

After the wedding festivities, we flew to the Grand Cayman for some more fun with the Couch fam. It was paradise. A small island surrounded by the most gorgeous blue, crystal clear water. We had the best week snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with turtles and sting rays, jet skiing, and enjoying time on the beach with the fam.

Sting Ray City!
If you kiss a sting ray it brings you 7 years of good luck. I kissed those rays a few times so bring atleast 21 years of good luck! :)

We did a talent show one night and let me tell you, this family's got talent! The enlarging machine was definitely the best!

On New Year's Eve, we did some of our own fireworks and watched the numerous other ones done along the beach. We even got to light lanterns. Such a perfect start to 2014. So much to look forward to!

The scuba divers!

We visited the city of Hell on the island. Only in Hell would we hit a huge rock with the rental car. Major bummer. Haha
Look at the sweet angel face I married.

Visiting the turtle farm!

Hanging out on the beach!
Such a perfect week! We're so grateful to have gotten to spend so much time with this wonderful family of ours. Such a fun trip we won't forget!

And then...
Us trying to check our 15 bags and our Cameron Park fam stuck in Houston for two days! :( We should've stayed ;)
