Peru!

I (Kevin) took a little trip to Peru for two weeks. It was an awesome adventure. I was part of a group called Global Engineering Outreach. My group had been working all year on a hand powered washing machine. Then we got to go down to Peru and teach the people how to make it.
This is in the center of Cuzco.

We also visited the floating reed islands on Lake Titicaca Overall it was a great trip and I had a lot of fun. However, next time Karen definitely needs to come with me!

Westside is the Best Side

I have had the great opportunity to intern at Westside Elementary in Springville for the past year. I work with the BEST of the best and have learned so much! I have yet to meet teachers who care more about their students than these teachers do. They give their lives and love their students so much. I have so many wonderful friends at Westside and I cannot say enough great things about this school. I truly believe it to be THE BEST SIDE! I'm so happy to be staying in third grade at this wonderful school next year because I love my sweet team so much. Apryl, our math guru on the team, is sadly moving to Vegas and I couldn't be more sad! She have become such a great friend and she will be missed greatly! I have loved working with Melissa, and THE Becky Manning too. I am all about the BMW (Becky Manning Way). Teachers, if you need any ideas- she is your lady! :) My facilitator this year has been the wonderful and talented, Teresa Jordan. She too is an amazing teacher, mentor, and friend and I couldn't have made it this year without her! I am so glad I've had the chance to work with her as she has taught me so many things! I've learned so much this first year of teaching and have so many ideas for next year. I'm so grateful for my adorable students and all of the fun we've been able to have this year. I've had fabulous parents and a fantastic room mom help out to create the most fun parties, field trips, and activities! What a great year! ...And here's to SUMMER 2012!
Field Trip! (I wish I could put more pictures with their cute faces on here!)

K & K Couch as of lately...

We've been trying to take advantage of the days with nice weather and do fun things outside. A few weeks ago we went out with our friends Matt and Taryn Shirley for a little Trafalga date night. Our miniature golf game got pretty competitive since dessert was on the line, nevertheless, so much fun! We love these guys and are so sad they have left us for the summer!
Kevin's most recent update is that he is in PERU! (Pictures to come later!) He has been with the Global Engineering Outreach Club from BYU for two weeks and I can't be more excited to have him home TOMORROW! :) Here's him all packed up and ready to go two weeks ago :)
I have the sweetest friends who have been entertaining me while Kevin was gone! We enjoyed roommate dinners again, as well as movie nights, attempts at the pool, shopping, bonfires, wedding receptions, and lots and lots of treats! Sidney, Nat, and Lauren... You girls are the best!
Ari is one of my most favorite people and she just celebrated her 22nd BIRTHDAY! I just love this girl so much and don't know what I would do without her! I'm so excited for her as she starts her new advertising job in Irvine, but I'm so sad that she'll be leaving me!
This past weekend my parents and I went with our friends Kevin and Gracie to the BYU Rugby Quarterfinals game. My dad played Rugby at BYU when he was there, so it was so fun to see him on the field as they honored Rugby Alumni!
SO HAPPY for this guy to get home! More time spent together and less of this!

BYU Alum

I've waited for the day to become a BYU Alumni since the days of my mom and dad singing me the Cougar Fight Song! I finally did it and have enjoyed the journey! It was well worth it being able to celebrate with my family over the weekend! My sweet parents and Kevin made it to commencement on Thursday where I was able to walk with my very best friends who I started BYU with. We've come a LONG way since Helaman Halls :) I couldn't be more excited for Sidney, Natalie, Gracie, and Lauren! They are the best of the best in their fields and I know will do great things! My Grandpa (driving his brand new Chrysler 300s), Bill, Gale, Kristine, Ben, Ella, Kelly, Mike, and Lauren were able to join everyone else and be at Friday's convocation with the McKay School of Education. It was so fun to walk with such great friends that I've made over the four years in the program and I can't think of better teachers! To add to the fun, Tygh, Erin, Tate, and Bailey drove out for the weekend! Thank you all for making the long trips out for graduation and I'm looking forward to our next get together at the Farnsworth Wedding next month! :) Thanks for your love and support, We love you all!
We had a super fun BBQ, hit up the bumber-boats at Boondocks, and even made it to City Creek!
We loved being with our families!
